Hi guys,

I am currently on PGWP and working as a RN, The problem is that they don't offer a lot full time positions and I will not be able to apply for OHIP for a long time even though I am working full time hours.

I was looking for health insurance and realized there is no health insurance for non-residents. The only thing I can purchase is emergency medical coverage.

So for this situation, part time on work permit, are there any suggestions for me?

You can purchase health insurance but it is just very expensive. I would apply gor energency coverage and lay out of pocket for routine care at the moment ans try to secure a full-time job.

Thank you. I will be purchasing emergency medical coverage for sure.

You have to be a full time worker to get OHIP?
Wow.
Thought being on a WP qualifies you.
