PGWP or Convocation

I get the situation now. Your OCWP was still valid when they rejected the PGWP in April 2011. In that case, you still had legal status and could continue working. You would have had to stop working if they rejected the PGWP after your OCWP had expired, but this isn't applicable to your situation. So you did not work illegally.
Was your OCWP still valid when you received your PGWP in Aug 2011? May be the officer was expecting you to surrender it. In anycase, they said "recommended pass", so nothing you can do but to wait. Also, if you don't feel your lawyer cares about your case, perhaps consider finding another one?

My ocwp and study permit were expired in August 2011, i received my pgwp before the ocwp got expired... but yeaterday I was told by someone that I Was not supposed. To work after the 1st pgwp rejection..
but aside from the ocwp part, I still have a year working experience... so I don't know whether they would reject me because I worked after 1st time rejection... that is why I am worried about..

CIC didn't mention any where that full time expereince starts counting after PGWP. if we have letter of completion from university and open off campus work permit we can work full time if we applied for PGWP. I don't see the reason why they cant count that experience towards CEC. I called the call centre they informed me that experience after completion of studies while you are waiting for PGWP is counted towards CEC. and we don't surrender any of our work permit because they ask to attach the copies of all the study permit and work permit with our application or whenever we are going to apply in future

But my pgwp got rejected once, so I guess that is the problem for me... But again they gave me recommended passed, not review required... Therefore, they might be able to understand my situation... To forgive me once.., as seriously I did not intend to use the ocwp when it is not valid, I really thought I could use it when It goes to expired if we graduated and waited for our pgwp...

Normally I advice people to choose a date between PGWP date and Convocation date (which ever is latter).
But in this case, his convocation date is on november.. but he applied for CEC on october.
I don't know but this looks negative.

They would have never know about..I acted stupid and send cover letter with NOA and my convocationdate certificate..i can only be fine if they dont add these documents to my file

Well my transcripts didn't say when is convocation, it only say ur passed. I ended up sending letter about my PGWP dates and exp after it so they don't get confuse. I attached my convocation certificate too ..I hope they should have passed me till now

Sure I will do...I am sure I will hear some thing from them before that..it's taking forever
