PGWP not issued before expiry of extension

Hey guys, I applied for PGWP two and a half months ago and they sent me an extension on my work permit which allow me to work until September 2nd. I was wondering what should I do if CIC won’t approve my PGWP until then? What are my options? Do I have to apply for another temporary extension?

Is it extension to the original pgwp due to expiry of passport before tenure?

No I applied for the PGWP and they sent me a temporary extension for my visa until September 2nd. I was wondering what’d happen if I don’t receive the PGWP by then?

You will continue woking until decision has been made to your application....
 
It says the extension is valid until September 2nd or Until the decision has been made. Whichever comes first.

Thats generic and auto generated letter. You will continue working until decision on your application is made
