PGWP length based on length of program or length of study?

Hi everyone,
I am studying a 1 year program with 3 semesters and I am in the 2nd semester right now. The final semester is about internship and it is an optional. My question is if I drop the internship and take 1 more program with 1 year length, will my PGWP will based on the length of my 2 programs or the length of my study? Can I get 3 years WP or not? Since I want to make sure it is ok to drop internship.

You will get 3 years of PGWP if u start another program within 3 months of finishing the first one...Also remember not to work between two programs

Thank you so much. I drop the internship because I want to save more time and start another program immediately after finishing my current program.

Will you pass your course if you drop the internship? I know in my course if I didn't do the work term/internship, I didn't pass the course.

Like I said the internship is an optional. If I drop an internship, I will be transferred to another program (same name but without internship).
