PGWP holder sponsoring son as an international student: POF

How much POF should be shown by an international student who is sponsored by his mother? His mother is in Canada at the moment with PGWP and will pay for everything.

For post secondary? Pay first year tuition and show at least $10k. Given she is in Canada, she will need to show a lot more funds than $10k since she needs living expenses too.

On top of the tuition plus at least 10k but realistically it needs to be more especially in larger cities. You also have to show how you will be getting funds for any subsequent years of schooling. For example either additional savings or showing that your income is high enough that you will have the additional savings to cover the expenses for each additional year.

It's an advanced diploma in college. The tuition is around 17k per year. Thanks for the insight.
