Hi Everyone,

This is my first ever post in any forum. So hoping to get some advice from you guys.

I have graduated from Canada with MSc in Engg. I have worked as Technical sales person NOC 6221 for one year but didnt include it in my EE profile as i never knew it comes under NOC B category. Now the question is, should i include it and claim those 40 points for Canadian experience..? I am confused because this job was not relevant to my Bachelors or Masters.

Yes you can apply and claim points for Canadian experience. Relevant work experience is not a requirement for CEC as long as its NOC 0,A,B

Thankyou for your response flames21. Does the experience needs to be continuous? Because for me I had a break of couple of months in between.

You don't need continuous 1 year to be eligible in CEC
You do need continuous 1 year to claim points in CRS points system

15 (3)
(b) consists of continuous full-time work experience or the full-time equivalent for part-time work experience;

I have actually submitted my EE profile a couple of months ago. I stand at 402. This whole scenario came to my mind just now as I came to know that job was in Cat-B. So i thought it would be better of if I ask you guys first before changing my profile.

full time means over 30 hours every week, if it applies to your case, then i think you are eligible to claim those points
