Find out if you're eligibility for PR application. Can anyone help me to find right answer. I'm confused what should I answer.

The Right of Permanent Residence fee (RPRF)

Which one should I select >>

1. I will pay both application fees & RPRF
OR
2. I will pay only application fee

I think what all of us need to know is whether our current salaries in ongoing, non-LMIA jobs count toward showing proof of funds. I asked CIC this over the phone and was told yes, it did, and so I am uploading my T4 and NoA as well as my bank statements. However, I don't have this answer in writing, and my document checklist does not ask for the T4 or NoA, so....

who knows?

There was no way, though, that I was going to turn down the ITA, as I thought that was foolish. I answered the same as you, Yes to job offer, and no to LMIA, and that is the truth and not a misrepresentation. I see now in CiC's instruction page that we were meant to say no to job offer, but I filled out my EE profile and got the ITA too early to know that. I also had to downsize my 'available funds' on the EE, as I originally included lines of credit and later saw that I shouldn't. I changed it before getting the ITA, but the ITA still has the original number.

None of this makes me want to turn down the FSW ITA, as I still meet the requirements. Yes, CEC is unfairly easier, but no one knows how many more invitations will go out through Express Entry, and I don't take the fact that I have one lightly!

If someone knows how to email CIC to get a response in writing, I hope you ask whether the salary of a current, permanent, non-seasonal job without LMIA support will count as proof of funds. I'd love to know the answer.
I'm also uploading the T4 and NoA although I was invited under FSW. I'm also thinking to get a letter of support from my company who wishes to offer me a permanent job once I get the PR. I'm just hoping that whoever evaluates my file will conclude that I can support my stay here. I also have 12k for PoF but I gathered 70% of it in the last moment before getting ITA so I can only hope it will be accepted as it is.
Good luck to you!

Hi all,

Regarding those two questions, do you have a job offer and then do you have LMIA for that job?
If from job offer CIC meant a job offer with LMIA, then why did they add the second question and ask wether you have LMIA?
This is a matter of simple logic. If you answer NO to the second question and Yes to the first one, you didn't lie. Because mentioning you don't have an LMIA for that job, automatically means that job offer is not Valid.

All these discussions stems from a simple entry in CIC help centre that says you have to say NO, but maybe it was written for an older version of the form, which didn't have that quesiton about LMIA or whoever wrote it made a mistake. The form clearly asks for LMIA afterwards.

I agree with you, and I answered that way. I DO have a job, I earn money to support myself and my partner in Canada, and I wanted the chance to show that. My opinion is not the prevailing opinion on this forum, but I still think it doesn't make sense that they ask about a job offer - not a VALID job offer, BTW, and answering 'yes' does not give you 600 points automatically - and THEN ask if you have an LMIA if they only want 'yes' from people with LMIA. If that were the case, the next question would be, "Please enter your LMIA number." It is not - and so I stand by my "yes" followed by "no" to LMIA.

if this helps to clarify. Excerpt from CIC website:

Why didn’t I get points for my job offer?

To get points from the Comprehensive Ranking System for a job offer under Express Entry, your employer will need to get a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

You should only answer “Yes” to the question “Does [your name] have a job offer in Canada?” if a Canadian employer has offered you a full-time, non-seasonal job, and that job offer is supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment.

(Note – in most cases, the job offer must be for a permanent job. For some types of jobs, it has to be for at least one year.)

If you are currently working in Canada but have not been offered a job that is supported by a LMIA, you should answer “No” and create a Job Seeker account in Job Bank.

If you are working on PGWP, then answer NO to job offer.
An update on my application, I got ITA in March, Submitted in May, Medicals passed, background check in progress. Friends of mine who submitted in April(PGWP, working in Canada) already got Passport request and completed landing.
Hope this helps!

Hi there,
I am on PGWP. I will be completing one year of full time job as a registered nurse in August 2015. I was checking my crs score. I didn't get to know one thing that should I say yes for certification of qualification, because I have a registered nurse license from Ontario province because nursing is provincal regulated profession. It's making a big difference in my scores. I have only 454 scores without that.

Thank you.

Hi everyone, I am in the exact same situation (yes to a Canadian job offer and no to LMIA) and have just submitted a case specific enquiry as well.

I know it could take a while for them to get back, and I wonder if, in the mean time, anyone has heard back from them (is it recommended that we decline and correct the express entry profile)? If yes, I would be grateful if you could please share... thank you!!!!!

Hello

Me and most of my friends went ahead by answering NO and NO to job offer and LMIA as per CIC's valid job offer definition.
Folks who submitted in April got their PPRs and completed landing.
You can change the answers after you receive the ITA as well.
You can still show your canadian work experience with necessary supporting documents.

Thank you MightyNorth. Have you seen a case where a candidate answered yes/no and was still able to get through the whole pr application process? I received an ITA in June and believe I cannot change my express entry profile answers at this time.. Thank you!

hi Guys

My situation is, I recvd ITA under FSW few weeks back. However, I am on implied status now as my PGWP expired and chances of new work permit are almost nil as I dont have LMIA. I have already booked my tickets to go back and wait.

I was just going thru this blog and I am in same situation. whether to answer YES or NO for " Valid job offer " as I dnt have LMIA. Reading all the answers, it seems the answer shud be "NO" as I dnt have LMIA either.

My concern is, Can I now change the answer to "NO" and attach a Letter of Explanation for the same. I am worried whether my points will be affected and they will make my profile ineligible after I submit all docs.

Also, if I make a profile under implied status, will it be any issue at all?

Or should I just decline the ITA and start all over ?

Thanks

Yes, couple of friends answered Yes/No and completed the process and got the PPR.
You can change the answers after receiving ITA and before submitting application.
The documents required to be uploaded will depend on your answers when you accept the ITA and proceed with the application submission.
