An agent told me that I didnt need to because my first application was before Nov 1st (my approval was after Nov 1). Another one told me I needed to. each agent is giving me a different answer and I already submitted an application without one

Hello, I was wondering if you can apply for a PGWP extension due to passport expiry through an online application? I see some folks here have done that and gotten their extension approved. If it's possible, please advise how to do it. Thanks!

Documents I sent:-

1. New Passport
2. LOE (Letter of Explanation)
3. Current WP
4. Transcript
5. Completion Letter
6. IMM 5583e

MY WP APPROVED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. NO NEED TO GIVE IELTS/CELPIP or ANY TEST. DON'T FOLLOW THOSE YOUTUBERS. THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY'RE SAYING, THEY JUST NEED VIEWS. GOOD LUCK!

Hie, I applied my PGWP extension (due to passport expiry) on feb 17 and still hasn't received any updates just the TFN. will you share your detailed timeline please, that might help me figure out the process. I am very worried since the timeline has now changed to 201 days.

GOT TFN BY CALLING THEM AFTER A MONTH MAY BE IN MID FEB 25
WASN'T ABLE TO LINK MY APPLICATION UNTIL BIO MATRIC UPDATED IN MARCH
got approved in 4 days, after biomatric updated

I applied for PGWp extension on Dec 4th 2024 and in April 2025, I called IRCC and the agent that picked the call, stated that PGWp extension must be via paper application, and asked that I withdraw the online application and apply via paper

I did and posted it via Canada post. Afterwards, I did a webform to IRCC to withdraw and or cancel the online application. IRCC emailed that the presiding visa officer for my application had been notified of the withdrawal
Am waiting for further update on either the online or the paper application

So if you are extending your PGWp, pls do not apply online

Many people applied online and get approved. It’s better to wait for decision instead of withdrawing application.
