PGWP extension

Hi,

I'm trying to apply for an extension of my PGWP, I wasn't given the 2 years I was entitled to due to my passport expiring. I have extended my passport now, but when I try to apply online it asks me for a Personal Reference Code. I have tried to determine my eligibility but it asks me the following question and I have no clue how to answer this:

Which situation best describes your work situation?
I am working under an international agreement
I am eligible for a work permit through an active pilot project
I am provincial certificate holder
I am entrepreneur / self employed
I am spouse or common law partner of a frogmen or skilled worker
I am a religious worker
I am on academic exchange conducting research or taking training
I am an intra company transferee
None of the above

If you choose "None of the above", you cannot move forward. Please help me with this.

I am facing the exact same problem, I wonder what is the best solution to this question :/ but anyways I have come across the only option to apply for PGWP extension is to apply paper base. and if you'll get the solution please discuss here.

Hi,

As far as I know, you cannot apply for PGWP application On-line. It has to be done through paper application . Good luck!

Wrong , u can in fact apply for a PGWP extension , apply as you normally would. And you will get the remainder. I know this because last year i extended mine soon to be extended again with a BOWP

Could you guide me through the eligibility test so I can receive the personal reference code and move on with my application?

A good option is to flagpole, so you can avoid the processing time...

What he said , flagpoling will probably be quicker. Ensure you take all your papers for that. But for the eligibility test fill it out like you first did. Your here to study and your already in the country.

My PGWP took 7 month....after that i do not want to wait for processing times anymore Hahahaha

Exact same situation, i got mine on january 15th 2016, valid until march 24 2016. i have a reliable source to believe that we can not apply for the extension online since the online application would require us to have a job offer and LMIA info. so best choice is paper application. (another good thing is that the processing time for paper application is less than that of online application )
Jubear is a very helpful. he told me the mentioned procedure to apply. also mine states that my pgwp is issued to me until the expiry date of Passport.

the application package is gonna be the same as the original one, i.e.

IMM5710E FORM
IMM5556E DOC CHECKLIST
PAYMENT RECEIPT OF $255(THERE IS AN ONLINE TOOL TO PAY THIS FEE)
photocopy of new passport (pages with personal info, also add the pages of visas and stamps if there is any)
photocopy of old passport(pages with personal info, also add the pages of visas and stamps if there is any)
photocopy of current PGWP
Photocopy of transcript + degree completion letter + degree duration letter (only transcript is also fine)
letter of explanation stating why you are seeking to get extension of PGWP. and that you have attached the fee receipt.
and to be on the safe side, add two passport size pictures with your application on paper.


i am stuck with filling the forms i.e. IMM5710 and IMM5556. If you know what to write, please share...

also i am quite sure that we can't do flagpolling for extension. cuz they only issue new permits not the extensions.
