PGWP extension due to passport expiry.

Hello everyone,

My passport expires in December 2025, so I received my PGWP valid until that time. I have since renewed my passport, which is now valid for 10 years. How can I apply for an extension of my PGWP? Is it mandatory to apply via paper application, or can I apply online? Has anyone recently applied online and successfully received their PGWP? Did any recent changes make the paper application mandatory for PGWP extensions?

Although IRCC specifically says apply on paper for extension, I have seen several people apply online on this forum and get processed. It probably changed during COVID times and IRCC doesn't seem to care much. That said, the correct way is to apply on paper.
