Hello Everyone,

Please read and reply!

I did one year Masters and got one year PGWP. I have applied for EE under CEC stream on 12 November 2021. My PGWP will soon to be expired on 23 December 2021. My CRS is 470 based on education i.e. Masters and job experience in Canada.
I did hope to have applied under TR-PR pathway but my IELTS results had came late.

Since september 2021, IRCC has not been conducting any CEC draws. How will I maintain my legal status in BC (Canada) on 23 December and after and still continue to work legally, apart from LMIA?

I am working full time and part time in two different food companies at NOCB position.

Please guide me. Your guidance will be extremely helpful.

Thank you
Rav

You either need an approved LMIA.

Or you need to get ITA and submit your compete application under CEC/EE before your PGWP expires on December 23rd.

Otherwise you'll need to convert your status to visitor and stop working after Dec 23.

Thank you for your reply.
I assume LMIA is a kind of closed WP that one get and bound to work under same employer. Is it right?

Yes, an LMIA is something your employer must obtain in order for you to qualify for a closed work permit which is tied to a specific employer.

It generally takes several months to get an LMIA approved. So if your employer hasn't already started this process, you are extremely short on time to make this option work.

If it expires, you must leave the country. I was rejected even though I met all criteria and was excepted into the pool, but because I overstayed my pgwp
