Hi Everybody,

I finished a 8 months program on May 2013, and got my open work permit valid until July 9, 2014.

Now I want to extend my work permit in order to stay longer and hopefully apply to PR later. I know that I need LMO, but no advertisement for position. I have been working at a company from March 2014. But the problem is that my employer's company is only 4 months old.

Is this going to effect my LMO, because I read somewhere that the company has to be one hers old at least to apply for LMO.

Also, I am able to apply for extension while applying for LMO? it sounds stupid but I have been told by someone.

Thanks in advance.

Lmo is another way of extending ur stay here.

bowp is for people who are processing their pr post approval stages.

Which industry are you in. That could be critical as the foreign worker program is under review now.

1. No such condition of 1 year. Employer must be 'actively engaged' in the business.
2. Not possible to extend PGWP.

Thank you for your reply.

I have read this on HRSDC:

Employers hiring former PGWPP participants in higher-skilled occupations are not required to conduct recruitment or advertisement efforts, provided, the LMO is received by the appropriate Service Canada Centre within 90 days of the expiration of the post-graduate work permit.

In instances where the post-graduate work permit has expired, and over 90 days have elapsed from the date Service Canada receives the application, employers will be required to demonstrate recruitment efforts as per the normal requirements for higher-skilled occupations.

My job falls under 0,A,B

I am in internet and social media industry. So, you think my employer has to go through advertise and LMO process?

Can you please clarify this on the HRSDC:

Dear JSM,

me and my employer are trying to apply for LMO application and on the checklist is says:

Canada Revenue Agency – T2Schedule 100 Balance Sheet Information (for
corporations only – 2 most recent returns filed)
T2 Schedule 125 Income Statement Information (for
corporations only – 2 most recent returns filed)
Applications for other positions - only required if this is the employer’s first LMO
application.

My employers business as pretty new (Feb 2014) and he does not have the T2, what should we do?

Thanks in advance.

1. Schedule 125, Income Statement Information; write 'No Income', 'No Expenses' if corporation didn't earn any income/incur expenses.

20 working days for online application. No need to send PP, only photocopies. You will have to send PP when applying for a TRV.

I am sorry to bother but what is TRV? And could I travel out of Canada and back to Canada just with work permit that I am going to get even if my student visa expired? Thanks.

Hi,

You have already got best answer.

Hi,

Please help me in my critical situation!

CURRENT SITUATION:
My current status is PGWP expiring on 15/August/2017. My CSQ QSW application is under processing since Jan/2016 and recently I submitted EE profile is now on the pool with CRS 410( some more points 20 will be added with wife's ECA probably by the end of this month).

NOW:
I am planning to submit my study permit application( studying same level AEC diploma that I had done previous time in Montreal) again to extend my stay.

My question:
1.Is there any chance of get refuse as I am now on PGWP!!
2. Is there any chance of get refuse as I am studying same level diploma?
3. Is there any chance of get refuse as I am applying study permit inside Canada?
4. Should I apply for visitor visa instead of study permit at the border?
5. Should I move to Ontario and apply for study permit there where I am planning to stay if I am accepted on EE?

Prompt help will be much appreciated!
