PGWP expiring question

My PGWP will expiring by end of January next year.

I will not be able to enter the express entry pool until September.

If i am not issued an invitation by January, can i continue to work? Can i apply for open bridging work permit? Or will i not be allowed to work if this happens?

Does the open bridging work permit only work when you have already been asked to apply for PR? Or can you apply for open bridging work permit as long as you are in the pool?
