PGWP Expiring, Need Advice

Hello there,

I have a one year PGWP and it is going to expire End of Feb and I was wondering what options would I have to renew my permit or extend my stay.

Applying for express entry would be difficult as I was hired 2 months after I got the permit so I will only be having 10 months work experience towards the end of my permit. I currently have a full time job at a private Clinic. I thought about applying through LMIA, but the process seems hard and I want to keep it as a last resort in case I couldn't come up with any other plan.

I work in BC

If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

You can stay without working by applying to change your status to visitor.

If you want to remain in Canada and work, you need to find an employer willing to offer you a full time job and also willing to obtain an approved LMIA.

Hello... Just wondering if your study program was 2 year or more? If yes then you can extend your PGWP upto 3 years..

However, it seems like your program duration was less and 1 year PGWP was the limit. If this is the case then scylla comment is the last resort.

My program was one year, so I only eligible for a 1 year permit. Thank you
