Yeah I am currently in your situation. Once you link your paper based account, the Express Entry option is removed. You have to create a new CIC account, and applying using EE. When you are submitting your EE application, they will ask you to note down your UCI and PNP Application number...

I have applied on Sept 15th to extend my PGWP. I was given less than a year because of my passport. A lot of people here are saying you can't apply online to extend your PGWP. its possible guys, I applied online and so did others before me.

Well I did mention above that I sent the original Police certificate to Sydney for my first PNP PR application and I only had copies with me. So when I applied for CEC, I attached the copy instead of the original and it was already expired as well.

Applied OCT 5TH CEC Application got cancelled OCT 22 due to a document mistake. I have scanned a copy of my PCC from my home country because the original has been sent to Sydney for my previous PNP PR Application. Will reapply again as soon as the draw come up. Good luck to everyone

I would like to do the same thing, but I cannot start an Express Entry profile in my cic account. It already says an application is already in process. That happened after I linked my PNP PR. I would really like to apply for express entry CEC and do it now rather than waiting 12 months+ for PNP.
