PGWP expires in 3 days and No AOR yet

Hello,

I got nominated under AINP and sent my pr application in June, 2016. There is no employee restriction on nomination certifiate and my 3 year PGWP expires in 3 days. I really hope AOR comes within the days but would also like to prepare what I need to prepare to extend my work permit.

What I can think of is the following:

1. Send paper based BOWP application to hold implied status until AOR and BOWP issued.

2. Leave my current PGWP expired and apply for a new open work permit with restoration online once AOR issued. (Can I apply for a new open work permit just because there is no restriction on employer on Pnp nomination?)

Could please someone give me advice on this?

I'm not sure how Bowp for PNP works, but according to a change in March, most applicants can apply for Bowp after they submit PR application but before they get AOR. The application is held till AOR decision is made, but implied status works as Bowp application is submitted. I don't know if there is any restriction for PNP applicants though... I hope not, and you can apply right away

No, we had to have a file number. I sent a paper application for BOWP to buy some time on the day when my current permit expired. And I got a file number 9 days after. So hopefully they can check AOR has been issued when processing my BOWP.
