Do you have to open a personal reference code if you want to apply for Post graduate work permit .
like you do you have to go through express entry thing? because Gckey doesnt give me a apply to work permit knob , online

Hey,

Yes, you have to complete an online checklist before being able to continue on the application process. There are certain steps you have to follow - make sure to ask your international students office for instructions on how to apply for your PGWP online. Online application is way faster than paper application, which is why this is the recommended application route for most people.

I am in the same situation.
My old code didn't work anymore, so I created a new one.
However, it didn't help. I wonder if there's a technical problem in their system. I have literally created five new codes and five new keys and every single time it says that the code is wrong, which it obviously isn't. I have also tried from different laptops.
When I pick the option apply for a work permit, it takes me to express entry, it won't allow me to continue my application for pgwp. It is incredibly frustrating and according to CICs website they don't currently have any technical problems.
I wonder what this is and how to proceed from here.
I have exhausted all my options, I don't know what to do either anymore.

I think you guys have to create GCkey account and apply directly from my CIC account.

I'm guessing you were choosing "Worker" instead of "Student" that's why you were being given the express entry option?
