Hi,

I want to know are there any changes to the process of applying for PGWP at Port of entry?
i have heard that now international students are not allowed to apply for PGWP at airport or do flagpolling instead they only have to apply online(applicable from 15th Nov 2019)??

Anyone have anyupdates?

But if you want to take the risk, go ahead and let me know if its work. cause i think doing in person is hassle, where officer judge your words, documents and everything, plus if you have visa to enter state or coming back in Canada.

I just think there is no rush, even if you apply online, you are allowed to work based on this website... but its better to clarified with ircc for that part. they give you 180 days , to let you find job... thinking your further plan. cause PGWP is once in a lifetime thing. if you decide to go back to school, then dont apply now. cause if happened in between with this permit, everything will be rush in time. but depends on your luck on jobs and boss.

hmm...yeah...we need to find a job from the NOC 0,A,B so that can apply for extension of SOWP as well.
currently my wife is here on OWP and is working NOC A category and her OWP expires on 20 Feb 2020 along with my study permit.
and in order to apply for her extension i need to have a job from NOC 0, A, B and 3 payslips. So, to be on safer side can i apply her Vistor along with my PGWP?
And can she continue with her work if i apply for her visitor in Dec along with my PGWP application?

usually, online application, you can add other applications along. either one of you are the primary applicant. im not sure the part is, does it really need to be high NOC. let's said, i graduated and gonna apply PGWP ( within 180 days from my final score is released) , you will get your WP depends on amount of time you went to school.

if your wife have job offer , i think she can be the primary applicant too. or actually, she should have been able to apply for EE or pnp. and add you in as spouse.

Vice-Versa, if both of you are in NOC A etc, you are able to apply for each other. but i definitely wont just go to port of entry to do these. cause you need to apply your wife case as well.

your case are more complicated than just for yourself.

of course, if only dealing only your case, before your wife case. you can do it individually for yourself.

keep in mind, both of your status either work or study need to be valid.

cant she extend her current work permit along with your PGWP? so you apply as work permit, and she is the spouse side.

if anything happened, she can apply as visitor but not allowed to work. she may need to leave the country and re-enter canada to apply visitor visa.

to apply for SOWP extension, Primary application(student) need to have NOC 0,A,B category job and 3 pay slips.

I am not sure how can she apply for independent wp extension?
