you could apply both ways..if the matter is so important apply from India and you will get pgwp on re entry time or apply from there and wait until you receive it

Hey kinda please reply.
I have my student visa and permit active for 2.5 months more. I graduated recently.
Should i apply for pgwp and then fly right away or should i fly using my study permit and visa and the apply pgwp from inside canada since the processing time from outside canada is more than 6 months and i will also not get the implied status.

Dear All,
My student visa is expiring 30th Sep 2021 and I applied for PGWP in July 2021 from India. So my student TRV is valid for 10 days only and my class got finished on July 2021 end as well.

So is it advisable to travel now with 10 days of student trv visa validity since applied for the PGWP application is from India?Is the border officer can approve the PGWP application

Please let me know anyone traveled like this?

No. I am still waiting for a decision!

We are literally on the same boat. I too applied for my pgwp from India on 29th January. Raised multiple webforms, contacted ircc, reached out to delhi immigration with hopes of getting info on my file (although i knew that i won't get any details) but all i got was generic response about delay due to pandemic. I wish there was something we could do to speed up the process. Can you please reply here when your pgwp is approved. I will post on this thread when i see an approval on mine.

I suggest it is better to apply from Canada as the processing time is much lower. Some of us have been waiting for almost a year to get PGWP approved outland (India).

PGWP Outland (India)
Came back to India after my graduation in May 2021, then got stuck due to a flight ban and decided to apply PGWP from India on 1st June 2021, got my biometrics on 29th July 2021. Got no response from IRCC or their web forms, but recently on 4th Nov got an email stating "You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date. "
After this, I hoped it will come soon but no update yet not even they checking my eligibility or even reviewing m application just my biometrics are updated.

Also, I'm facing a new issue because my passport gonna expire on the 22nd Oct 2022, so I don't know should I get my passport renewed now or should I wait for PPR. This will also affect my PGWP duration because now I have 11 months left for the expire of my passport.

Any good suggestions are welcomed, please help!

YES I had applied for PGWP from India on 1st June 2021 and got my biometrics on 29th July, got no updates yet. Did you get approved now?

I observed from Jan 2021 you guys are waiting due to the long processing time in this pandemic situation.

No, still waiting. But i know of people who received approvals. They applied in oct, nov, dec 2020, jan and march 2021. I did not receive an approval as my medical results were not updated on my profile.

Did they asked for medical or did you just do it yourself?

Upfront. Unfortunately, i received a request for medical exam the same day i went for the exam. So my status was "your action is required" for more than a month.
