I know you have to be inside Canada to APPLY for PGP pr after you get ITA through lottery.

However, can you put name in PGP lottery when outside Canada ?

I think you theoretically could. I don't see why not.

Note they aren't accepting entries into the lottery this year and we don't know if / when it will reopen next year.

You would of course need to ensure you meet the income requirements from income earned in Canada. You'd also need to make sure you live in Canada after the application is submitted.

Would really depend on how long you are outside Canada. Are you talking about a one month vacation of being outside for a long period of time.

@scylla do we have to RE-submit an interest form in 2021 if we submitted on in 2020 OR do we just wait for the lottery draw starting Sept 2020 ?

This year? No - they are not. Read the press release again.

The lottery draw will be done from the pool of applicants who applied last year. No new entries are being accepted this year. If you applied last year and weren't selected, then you are automatically in the draw this year. If you did not apply for the lottery last year, then you won't be included this year.

Already answered. It's in the press release. No new entries this year. They are drawing from the pool last year.
