PGP Income Calculation

Hi,

I have a question which I could not find the answer to. If I apply to sponsor parents through PGP from Quebec, does the following income qualify?

1. Income for 2019 is $0, 2020 is $0, 2021 is $100,000

I am asking this question because we still have to apply through the Federal program (which checks for last 3 years) before Quebec assess our income for the last 1 year.

Hi,

IRCC won't ask you for any information about your income in your initial application. That's only required when you apply for your CSQ.

Basically, the Quebec government will look at your income over the 12 months preceding the date they make a decision on your CSQ. If your employment income was great in 2021 but had a big drop after that, they'll go with your current level of income. Also be aware that Quebec takes into account net assets. So they'll add to your income 10% of the value of any investments or property you have, less the amount of any mortgages.

Do you currently live in Quebec or have a job in Quebec?
