Hello,

I am sponsoring my parents through pgp program. I claimed CRSB (Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit) in 2022 because I had COVID and couldn't work. On canada.ca it mentions that

These income sources will count toward your total income (as long as they’re reported on your NOA):
-Employment Insurance special benefits, such as maternity and parental benefits
-any Employment Insurance earnings for the 2021 tax year only
-Canada Emergency Response Benefit
-other temporary COVID-19-related

Does anyone know whether or not they will consider CRSB or any other taxable benefit towards income?

Let's say my total/gross income is $24000 and I claimed $1000 CRSB. Will they consider $24000 or $23000?

Thanks for your help.

$23,000 because you missed the line below the bullets.

Note: This doesn’t apply to the income requirement for the 2023 or 2022 tax years, which is the minimum necessary income plus 30%.
