Hi Everyone!
After 6 years of waiting, I finally received the email today informing me that I finally can apply to sponsor my mother. I have two situations and questions I would like to ask. Hopping the more experienced fellas can help me sort out.

1. From excitement I accidentally signed up for the Representative Permanent Residence (PR) Portal instead of the Permanent Residence Portal. I used the email that I received the invitation on and now I am unable to use the same email to log in or to sign up to the Permanent Residence Portal. I ended up signing up for the Permanent Residence Portal using a different email address than the one the invitation was sent to. Do you guys think this will cause any issues?

2. My mother currently holds a visitor's visa that is valid until 2024. She also has been living with us in Canada since 2020 and she plans to continue to live with us. I am filling IMM 0008 and trying to answer the Current country of residence section. Do I use her original residence "Lebanon" or our current address in Canada?

Thank you in advance

Are you going to be the representative of your mother in this application? I asked the same question in another thread as I did the opposite, started filling forms already on PR portal, i am also representative of my parents. My question is if I am not a lawyer, just a sponsor, do I must use Representative portal? Hopefully some experienced pp can answer it.

Below is from the representative portal

In my understanding, this portal is for the licensed one, not for a representative who is/are friend or family member.

However, I am not sure what is friend/family member is a licensed representative :(
Welcome to the Representative Permanent Residence (PR) Portal
Manage your clients’ Permanent Residence applications
This portal is for licensed representatives to complete and submit online permanent residence applications on behalf of their clients.
This portal is not connected to the Authorized Paid Representative Portal.

Thanks God, I should invitation today.

Questions please if the team here can help answer:

-We are family of 3 (husband, wife and son).
-Sponsoring my mother (father passed away).
- I have no income but savings of 30K. My spouse will be cosigner and have income of 90K each of the three years.
This should be ok right?

-My two brothers are 22 years old and 26 years old.
I believe they do not qualify as dependent. Any chance of making a case that my 22 year brother cannot live alone back home and due to father passing, it has affected him strongly. I would request if he can be considered as dependent). any chance IRCC will approve this?

-Question of dependent?

Sometimes, they reference that need to put details for all family members 18+ and in Checklist, they reference all dependents who are 18 years of age and older.

Do I need to add details for brothers (22 yrsand 26 yrs) in form 5562.

------
FORM

“You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents.“. Lots of places it comes, so are we supposed to fill in two separate forms and fill in information for both mom and dad.

PA is one of the parents. You are the sponsor (as child). If you want to fill the forms for them and respond to IRCC's request later on, ask for parents' authorization use IMM5476.
