Once you were invited, it doesn't matter if you submit the application or not, you were removed from the remaing pool for this year.

No one knows. For now there id only one member who confirmed the Invite.

They actually say "Invitations to apply will be sent over the course of 2 weeks, starting the week of September 20, 2021." So they never actually said they would have the draw on the 20th itself, just "the week of" the 20th. That means they could do it any day of this week.
