Yes.. can't share FB link here but if you would search for FB group related PGP 2020 then in that someone posted that they sent complete application within 2 days of invitation and received AOR1.. approximately 3 weeks from when package was received.
That's amazingly fast!

Hello everyone,

I am almost ready to pay application fees for sponsoring my father for PR.
He did Biometrics back his home country last year for Visitor Visa.
Does he need to pay Biometrics fee again for PR sponsorship?

This is info on 2020 IRCC website Guide for parent sponsorship:
When to give your biometrics
You will need to pay for and then give your biometrics, even if you gave biometrics in the past to support a visitor visa, study or work permit application, or a different permanent resident application.

Thank you.
Better to pay now as the biometrics done for visitor visa is not good for PR application.
In case they do not need, the fee will be refunded.

Any idea when 2021 PGP sponsorship will be opened? I'm single and my parents are 75, 81 yrs old. Is there an alternate way (other than PGP) of sponsoring my parents on humanitarian grounds? It's getting difficult to travel with this virus situation to take them for Doc or for any other purpose that needs assistance.
You should be aware that applying for H&C is far from guaranteed and comes with risks. If denied they may struggle to visit in the future. They are together in their home country so not alone. Many people are in a similar position as you and have to wait until they get selected for PGP. I have attached an example showing that parents are not guaranteed approval based on H&C

Thanks @canuck78 for your reply. When they were relatively young in 60s/70s - they did not want to come to Canada and spend their days in home country. Now there is change of mind in them, because of the need for emotional care and support. Before this stupid virus, I used to visit 3 times a year and now with all restrictions, it was just once in 2020 and I'm getting older too for more frequent travel.

Hi,

This shared tweet is from June 19, 2019 and not current one. I have forwarded the package as per the address mentioned on Invitation letter CPC-M-PGP.

I guess it should be fine either ways.. since Document checklist & Application guide mention CPC-PGP and Invitation letter mention CPC-M-PGP.

After reading PGP 2019 forum thread it looks like it was same issue in 2019 as well.

My parents address on passport is different.
My dad's address is same as my mom's address but with additional information.

My mom's address is 123 ABC Nagar
My dad's address is like 123 ABC Nagar, 2nd floor.

They are joint owner of both the addresses.

Should I give any explanation for this?
Anything on my query

Experts,
My 42 year old sister, married with kids in India does not exactly fit the criteria of being my parents dependent unless she relies on my parents financially. if i include or am i able to include her as a dependent will that increase her chance of migrating as well? or will it negatively impact my parents application?

You cannot include a 42 years old silbering as your parents' dependent. She is NOT a dependent.

Do not even try this, they will refuse her visa even after taking application fees (for her and her kids If you applied) and it will impact all future applications from her side.

No explanation is needed for the address printed on passports. The primary document which is used to establish the relationship between primary applicants and spouse is marriage certificate.

CanadaPost delivered my application package with a status that says : Delivered to recipient's delivery partner. Is that normal - I was expecting a signature since I sent using XpressPost.

Thanks for the advise. In any of the forms do they have to declare my sister as non dependant child? i can't seem to find it.

No, they do not have to add her main application. Only need to add her details on IMM 5406 E Additional Family Information.
