Hi guys, I am confused on if I am eligible for PGP 2020. I would like to sponsor my mom and dad. Can someone please assist me with below questions?

1. Is it just the income stated in LICO table or there is plus 30% for years 2018, 2019 and 2020?
2. I got married in 2017 and my husband landed as a PR in Jul 2018. Since he was not in Canada for 7 months (maximum) during first half of 2018. What will be the family count for 2018 - will it be just 3 (myself + my parents) or 4 (myself, my parents + my husband)?
3. If I count just myself for family size in 2018, then I meet the eligibility criteria however if i combine my husband’s income (family size of 4) then we are short of few hundred bucks. Can his income in back home for year 2018 be counted?

I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance¡

Hello,

My wife and I plan to sponsor our parents simultaneously this year plus will be co-signing each others applications. So, wanted to inquire following for filling EOI 2020 form:
  • the number of people in your immediate family (you, your spouse or partner and dependent children) - 6 [Me, My wife, My parents (2) and her parents (2)]
  • the total number of people you already sponsored and are still financially responsible for - 0 (I sponsored my wife in 2017 and 3 years undertaking completed this year)
  • the total number of people you want to sponsor, including their dependants (spouse or partner, and children) - 2 (My mother and Father)
Please, let me know if this is correct?

Thanks

3) Did he report his income from home country on his 2018 Canadian tax return? If so, the income should be included in the 150.

1. Just the income stated in the LICO table (do not add 30%).
2. You have to include your husband in 2018. So it will be 4 people for 2018. It doesn't matter how long he was in Canada for 2018. Even if he hadn't been in Canada at all, you would still have to count him.
3. You can include your husband's income if he filed a Canadian tax return in 2018 and declared his income from back home in his Canadian tax return. Otherwise his income from that period cannot be included.

Hello, my husband sponsered me on PR and I came Canada in March-2019. I don’t have 2018 NOA from CRA but my husband has 2018, 2019 NOA.
By combined we have enough income from 2018,2019 and 2020.
Can I sponsor my parents in PGP2020 as I don’t have 2018 NOA?

Thank you for prompt response.
I didn’t file Canadian tax for 2018 as I was not here and I don’t have back home(India) tax return for 2018 as I didn’t work in 2018. But my husband earned enough in 2018.
In process, does IRCC require my 2018 Indian tax document?

Hi,

For the first question, the website states as:
  • the number of people in your immediate family (you, your spouse or partner and dependent children)
So, it shouldn't count your parents or in-laws right? Can someone please confirm?

Can any one please tell me exact income for 2018 2019 and 2020 to be eligible. Please exact income for 6 people. We are 4 and then father and mother.

Thanks.

My parents have visitor visa for next 2 years and they keep coming back and forth to canada on visit visa. Question is while they have visit visa and they keep coming back and forth , am i still eligible to sponcer them ?
