CERB is taxable income so it would be counted as your income toward line 150 on NOA. EI this year on the other hand is still not very clear, if it's taxable or not as the Govt is transitioning from CERB to EI for those who are needing it. It's best to check with your accountant for this

well, for normal years, EI was taxable, right? but seems it was not counted before

wondering should I call IRCC to clarify

Are they looking for total income(line 150 on Notice of assessment) or do I have to subtract any deductions from it? (RRSP)?
There is deductions from total income written right under line 150

Hi, i was just reading document checklist sponsor- for parents and grandparents( being optimistic if I get invitation).... It says
4) proof of principal applicant’s relationship to sponsor:
* photocopy of the sponsor’s birth certificate
( I don’t have my birth certificate, even during my PR process I had submitted non-availability of birth certificate) , will that become a problem this time when I sponsor my parents PR ? any other documentation can suffice?
6) proof of principal applicant’s relationship to an accompanying dependent spouse:
*photocopy of marriage certificate

( my parents does not have marriage certificate, what documentation I can provide to suffice this?)

P.S. - my parents have visited Canada twice on visitor visa.

Your reply will be highly appreciated, anyone who had actually gone through this please also reply

If you are in doubt, definitely call IRCC and ask for advice.
But I heard there're cases that IRCC's answers were not very consistent so beware
Accountant or Imm consultant should know this details...

Your income must be 3 year 2018-2019-2020, and all 3 year must meet the required income
In your case, I am sorry to hear that you missed 1 year so, you are not eligible. Your application will be automatically eliminated during the auto-screening process.
You may submit the interest to sponsor, may even get selected but will be certainly refused when the actual process starts. Knowing so, would you still try to submit the for?

By looking ahead in future i.e. year 2020, they have created mess and added immigrants who came in 2016 & 2017. That means more number of people are eligible and looking ahead and based on expectation more people will apply this year - probably this time number will cross 150,000.

AA) No, your husband would have no risk of rejection as co-sponsor. Just make sure his income is the one on the line 150 of his NOA, Canada
BB) The "You" here is collectively term, meaning the main sponsor and the co-sponsor income or, regarded as "total household income"
CC) I have also sponsored my parents and my partner is co-sponsored. We have not been checked but I heard there's case that CRA request income proof again... So, it's better to follow what they request that is to maintain your household level of income during the sponsorship. And it's not my interpretation, it is the written in the rules on the IRCC website
Hope it helps
Hi babybenz,

Sorry to hear that you are short for one year. Unfortunately, the machine-reading process will eliminate any mismatch or under requirement so your chance to get approved is next to zero... There is no emotion or human involved in this screening process yet. You may submit the interest to sponsor; you may even get selected but at the start of the actual process, you will be disqualified automatically. So, would you try?
Thank you , i will have to apply for my in laws later then. Whats the wait period to sponsor my in laws after we apply for my parents, because my wife and I are sponsoring them together.
