Does anyone know if we sponsor our parents from Alberta but can they enter the country and live in a different province or they HAVE TO come and stay in Alberta?
Anyone have any advice or information on this? Parents have to enter the country before December but was thinking if parents can come and live in a different province as my brother also lives in Canada but in a different provice.

I believe your parents can stay is any province because a PR has free movement across Canada.

They should also have no problem entering from a different POE as stated on the application. The application asked for "intended" province of destination (or something in those lines) Intentions change and I don't see why it should be an issue.

They can move to any province. And the same apply, if they cliam social assistance in any provcince, you need to pay it back.

You are sponsoring your parents so why do you, the sponsro, need to submit PCCs?

My mistake, I mean their PCC not mine, any idea how to send PCC to immigration?

You can raise a webforum. Or i believe you can add it to your cic account.
There should be an option to upload documents.

Does anyone know how can we send a document to CIC-MONTREAL?
my passport was about to expire in less than 1 year so I got a new one and sent a copy of it to Ankara Visa Office, my Local visa office, but they today replied me back that I should contact CIC-Montreal since they are the primary office responsible for my file.

Just sharing my experience.
It took 13-15 days for my parent’s, my friend’s parents and my cousin’s parents application. All of us submitted application at the same time and were received on same day March 11. Our file’s progress is quite comparable to each other.

I too have similar timeline except that I got 2nd FP and PPR now a month late.

Hi Everyone,

My parents got a medical exam request on June 06, 2022. Since their medical exam was still valid from supervisa time, so they submitted a webform to link that medical test to their PGP application. After a month, my parents got a webform reply that they will attach these documents to the file shortly. However, I still don't see medical passed on gckey account. GCkey still says we require your medical test. How long should I wait to see the update on gckey?

Hello everyone - my parents have recieved request for police certificates. My parents lived in dubai till November 2020 and before leaving they got their police certificates which are dated November 2020. They have visited dubai after that date. I wanted to know if those certificates are still valid or do they need to apply again?

So i have decided to bring my parents on there existing visitor visa and later will change the address .
Now I have one question, do we need to show the return tickets as well during immigration at airport?

Well, not sure if the immigration officer in Canada will pay that much attention or not, but the officer in your home country will definitely raise the question that where are your return tickets? I would suggest buying a return ticket and then once they arrive here, get them canceled and collect the refund.

Just now got a new message in online IRCC account: A final decision has been made - Application is approved.
They also provided information on VISAa sticked to passports and expiry date for them for 1 year from today.
Provided COPR as well.

Hi All,

I have not heard back anything since Nov 2021. I've submitted all the required documents to the Mississauga office. An application was submitted in Feb 2021.

Do we have anyone with the same time line?

Urgent!!! Please help.

My younger brother who is in my PGP application for 2020 is admissible due to criminal offences. We just found out last minute. Do you think we could ask our lawyer to remove him out of application so my parents could come? Or is it too late. I did some research online but nothing really applies to my situation.
