hey everyone...just to understand more clearly, the 2021 30K quota is for new applicants right ?
I immigrated to Canada in 2019 and I have sufficient income for 2019, 2020 and 2021 ( projected ). Should I be able to apply for this 30K quota later this year ? or is this quota for people who applied in 2020 ?
Also , does anyone have an estimated probability of getting selected ?
hi

I believe they will use 2018,2019,2020 income for PGP 2021 program. Projected income will not be used as NOA's as required to verify past 3 years income for this program. As to the estimated probability of being selected no one can tell at this point but I have read through parliament notes on parliament of Canada website and there was a discussion of a weighted lottery. E.g. if someone has applied in the past they might have better odds. Once again that was only a discussion and by no means is a guarantee that it might ever take place. No one knows the exact details for PGP 2021, they will announce it in the coming months.

I understand that was the norm, however for 2020 application ( the one they announced Oct 2020 ),they allowed people to use 2018, 19 and 20 income. So I was wondering if the same will apply for the 2021 application

Good question. Another question of course is whether 2021 income requirements will also be significantly lower than the norm.

I think they lowered the LICO for 2020 because of covid-19's impact on the economy and income levels. Otherwise a large % of people would no longer qualify all because of covid and have to wait 3 years eg 2021, 2022, 2023 before they qualified.

Lowering the LICO for 2020 allows people who met income requirements in 2018, 2019 to still qualify.

So will 2021 also be a lowered LICO requirement? My guess is yes as the economic impact of covid 19 has continued into this year.

There's no way to know.

IMO, 2020 was an anomaly because the draw was held so extremely late in the year. IMO they will go back to previous processes for 2021 which means income from 2018, 2019 and 2020 will apply. 2021 income will factor into the 2022 draw.

It is impossible that They have their PGP2020. What kind of visa do they have? A COPR?
Thank you for answering. Yes, it is COPR, and the expiry date of the visas on their passports is the end of May. So it is impossible to extend the deadline?

I wonder what the LICO levels will be for 2021.

They will use the already published LICO for 2020.

Normally no. You can try to extend due to covid but they always risk being asked to repeat a medical. If the word has become a catastrophe due to the new mutations or there are more travel restrictions then there extensions should be easy. At the moment many are travelling.

Yes - if you clear the minimum income requirements for 3 consecutive years, you should be eligible. 30K quota is for 2021 PGP - for which Expression of Interest has not opened up yet. Keep watching news update from IRCC on their portal and twitter.

Did they send out the invitations? Are they still doing? Or not yet?
For 2020? They have all been sent now.

2021 hasn't started. We don't know the date.

@scylla - For PGP application it is required to submit CV and Education Level in form IMM008. As per my understanding and the checklist, we do no need to submit education certificates or work experience proof. Please confirm.

My mom is retied and it will be very difficult to get work experience documents and education certificates translated in case they are required at time of submitting the application or during processing of the application.
I think CIC is not asking proof of educations and experiences in the checklist.
In my opinion, to be hassle free in future, better to include minimum information in IMM008.

Hi, I am going through the document checklist and preparing my application. I have a doubt regarding certified true copies. Do I have to provide certified true copies of the photocopies I’m attaching with the application? My parents are already in Canada and we have the necessary documents with us (in English, so I’m assuming that rules out preparing any notarized translation copies). But should we include certified true copies of anything or it isn’t mandatory? Please advise. Thanks in advance.
Not many documents need to be notarized for true copy if they are already in English.
For example: a copy of sponsors' PR card or passport does not need to be notarized.

Hello everyone, I am sharing my personal checklist for PGP 2020 below. PLEASE NOTE that this is a personal checklist, specific only to my case. I have included a bit of a background to help you understand my scenario. It may or may not be applicable to someone else so please treat it only as a reference and not as a detailed instructions guide. If you have been invited to apply, the image below is basically just an alternate way of looking at the Document Checklist (IMM 5771) with a customized breakdown of what I will be submitting in my application.

I invite and encourage experts and other PGP 2020 invitees to please go through the list and kindly advise if anything is missing and/or incorrect. Kindly also suggest, if applicable, which specific photocopies will need to be made certified true copies (and where can I get them certified). I have them all in English, so I understand I do not need to translate/notarize them but what about certifying? Thank you for your time.
