PGP 2019 - Background Declaration form - to sign or not???????

I have mailed out my parents Background Declaration form and realized that it was not signed but only their name was typed in as mentioned in the application. But when I look at the Document checklist, it says the form needs to be signed as well.

Can someone clarify if the Background Declaration form needs to be signed or just typing in the name will meet CIC requirement?

in my case, my mother has handwritten her name and signed ..i am sure that sign is a must..
