I am a hell confused I consulted an agent an he told me regarding admision mba in finance from Thompson river or Vancouver Island university . But I got to know that the reputation of these universities is not that good.
My qualifications:
Class 10: 90%
Class 12 :81%
Btech ip university : 71% ( computer science )
Ielts : 7 band
No experience
Should I go for ms from universities or 2 year pgdm in relevant field .
Which course I should go for??
Places where pr is easy??? And which course would provide me job after completion??
But I have a interst in finance and I want to study it and my main motto is to get pr .

Please help me guys what should I go for to get secured in canada and get pr !!

as a general rule universities r always better than colleges with exceptions. also masters from an university is way better than PG diploma or similar from college. that being said u have to choose. u should do research on which program is suitable for u with regards to past studies , financial situation, personal interests etc... dont trust consultants blindly they will try to force u to a college that pays them the most commission. do ur own research use google go to different university websites and see which program suits u.

Some agents are saying your visa will be rejected as your from computer science and going into finance
And I am quite good in maths and calculations and lot of opportunities in finance market in canada.
But to be on safer side should I go for masters in computers as I also have no problem with this field.
Somebody told me pgdm are more job oriented then masters is it true???
???

yes its a mismatch i didnt see that before ......ur past studies should match ur proposed studies. pgdm r not more job oriented but more of technician level jobs hands on jobs. example would be the difference between mechanic and a mechanical engineer. mechanic is more hands on and engineer is more sitting at a desk. also pay scales r different too....
u have good grades u should avoid pgdm this is just my personal opinion.

The link above gives you the rankings of Canadian universities.
I am not sure why a lot of people are going through agents when you can actually contact the university directly through an international students' office for advice and get all the info you need and complete your admission process.
Do you want to pursue a career in mainstream finance? If so, you should consider a business master degree like an MBA and plan on enrolling for CFA or CPA (for accounting). However, you can also pursue a career that allows you to use your computer science degree but you will have to do an MS in Analytics + CFA and you can go into financial services analytics (even without the CFA). Basically, you do consulting for banks, hedge funds etc.

I am acting dumb I guess but what is the loss in going to agents they don't even charge fees and they just get commison from college and we have not issue in that .
Moreover they help and make path easy . And they don't even charge a single extra penny !!
I hope I am ryt or can someone correct me on this?

I am hoping when you say "finance" you actually mean finance and not accounting as the 2 are different. The difference is very clear in the big economies as small or growing economies usually have their finance sector exist only in the central banks and the big multi national banks. The finance industry in Canada is big compared to developing countries. However, when you say "a lot of opportunities" that is relative because the activity is not as much when you compare it to the UK - the US literally dwarfs it. One of the posters advised you research and choose - very wise words. Do exactly that then make a decision but also make it a point to know and understand the industry. If you are interested in Finance then toronto should be your number one destination in Canada for work.

The option that bring your career closer to finance is an MS in Business Analytics add to it a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and you will be a gem in today's financial world that is increasingly relying on data analysis to make decision - the world of big data.

Enrollment procedures are always provided on university websites - submit an online application plus meet listed requirements e.g. English proficiency, statement of intent etc.

Yes it is. Look at this site for more detail www.mastersindatascience.org You will find info on schools that offer the program, career options info, factors to consider when choosing which school to go for the program-it's advisable to go to a school that gives you the chance to work with real-world situations at a real company. It's good to get hands on in a real work experience and also helps in setting your self up for first employment in the company.
