PG Work Permit to Visitor

Hello All,

If someone can help me that will be great. My friend is in bad situation he came to canada and applied for Express Entry. But his work permit is expiring in 15 days. Can he still apply for Visitor Visa and stay in Canada?

Can you please suggest me some way out for him. He is really upset!

Yes - you can apply to change your status to visitor. You will need to apply before your PGWP expires. You will also need to stop working as soon as your PGWP expires.

Thanks for update, But i have questions that he is going to stop working right before work permit expire but do you think they will approve visitor?

As on CIC website it says that you have to apply before 30 days and he is going to apply only 15 days before.

ya you can do it.... apply it fast as processing time is around 73 days....

show proper balance and submit all the forms and apply online for change conditions from pgwp to visitor......
