PG Diploma for 1 year

I am applying for PG diploma for one year in one of the software development . I have 3 year experience in software field. My doubt is that if I get job there, can I extend my job once the PG work permit expires? I am planning to apply for PR too. Financially I won't be able to take up a 2 year course. Please enlighten me.

You will need a company to sponsor you and get a new work permit.
In the meantime when you finish the PG course your express entry points will increase and maybe you can get PR through express entry.

Is that different for an international student ? I mean when they have to take foreign workers. They have many procedures to be done like proving that the employee is efficient and no locals

My profile is similar to yours. I have an offer from Humber for Web Development which is a 1-year program. With a good IELTS score, we can apply for PR by the end of our 1-year course. We can get PR by the end of our PGWP having worked for 3 years already.

Yes, I am. I'm planning to go there this September intake. Having 3 years of work experience which would fetch us maximum points in the 'overseas work experience' part.

I'm also not interested in doing a 2-year course. Waste of too much money and time. Instead, we can concentrate on getting a good IELTS score and try to get PR.
