hey m very confused whether to go in PG diploma courses in finance or MS in finance. i belong to engineering background and my aggregate is 60% 10th is 75% and 12th is 70%. which is has a better weightage and job prospects in future. my consultant is asking me to go for PG dip would it be a good choice. and hw is the job market in bussiness and finance sector currently in canada. PLZZZ HELP

If you get admission to Master's... in a good public university... then well and good. Most MBA in Finance or Msc. in Business(Finance) require GMAT and/or work experience. You can try for Master's like 1 year Master of Management (MoM) at Univ. of Windsor (Accounting & finance)... where a 4 years degree (with B grade or 60% in final 2 years) and an IELTS 7.0 is minimum requirement for admission.. no GMAT required. You need to go through all university websites, and search for finance related Master programmes (MBA/Msc. or other master's) and depending upon your profile apply. You need to 1st try for university level Master's... and only if..you see..that you are not getting admission anywhere.. then you can always try for PG diploma in Finance in Canadian colleges. You have to keep in mind.that a Master degree is not an assurance to a bright future and a great job..not pursuing PG diploma..means a sure shot low paying job..as getting a skilled job and a good career totally depends on your skills, academic record, networking abilities and ofcourse luck.
The admissions for Fall 2013 have already started, and you must hurry and apply asap for university Master programmes.

I'm still confused wether to study PG diploma in Instrumentation or Electronics or to get in Meng based course in Quebec because as you said it will be a good choice for me after taking all my Univ studies in French and I wanna tell you that my level in French is good as well as English, so What program will be easy to get PG or MEng ??
2 - I've read in this forum that MEng is more respected in job market than PG is this right ?? can you explain more ??
3 - Did you meet ALgerians who studied in Quebec ? what was their opinion regarding the difficulty of programs ? I'm asking this because a friend was studying in France and he Finished and he got his diploma, he told me that Quebec or canada in general has tough programs so please can you advice about this ? I just don't want to risk with all my money for something not sure okey !!
4 - Quebec gives direct CSQ to international Graduates may be in 30 days after graduation, but how long takes the PR to be granted ??
and what about the PGWP : one will be eligible to apply for PGWP just without job offer right ? (the same for CSQ) ??

As I said.. you will need to check with all university departments...and find appropriate programmes..and shoot emails to each univ. as to if you may be eligible to apply for their Master degree programmes in engineering or not. In case, you don't get admission to the Master degree programmes, then you should apply for PG diploma in instrumentation/Electronics. If French is your medium of education, then you should definitely 1st consider studying in Quebec, but depending on where you get admission, you can study anywhere across Canada, provided you are comfortable. No programme is easy or tough..and it completely depends upon an individual as to how he/she fares in the particular programme.
2. Yes, definitely. What's there to explain more? IT's obvious.. a good Meng. form a good Canadian university will open far more doors than compared to a PG diploma.
3. NO. And there is no such thing as Quebec/Canadian universities have tough programmes or others have easier programmes. It all depends on you, how you fare.
4. PR is given by the federal govt. One has to apply separately for PR after getting CSQ/ PNP nomination. It usually takes 9-12 months to get PR. Yes, you 1st need PGWP..to apply for any full time job..after your completion of course. So..you can immediately apply for PGWP, once you complete all requirements of your course.
You have been asking a lot of questions lately... hope your doubts have been cleared and you have started the process for getting admission. You should hurry, as master degree admission in Canadian universities for fall 2013 intake has already begun.

Yes, I already have started looking for one year Meng programs but till now I didn't find it, I've found many programs that take 45 credits and I think this equals to more than 2 semesters right ???
I'm confused because I can't apply for a program I don't really know how long it is, so is there a section to send inquiries to universities ??

There are so many Meng. programmes, you need to search thoroughly. Yeah.. 45 credits..is very well equivalent to 2sem/1 Acd. year. Why don't you apply immediately?
There is nothing to be confused about. No one can spoon-feed you each and everything. You check the course contents on the university department/ programme websites..and see..if you may be eligible for applying to that particular Meng. programme or not. If any doubts or queries you email the university department, which can be usually found on the "Contact us" section.
