Came across this petition to repeal Section 38(1)(c) of the IRPA, the medical inadmissibility policy due to excessive demand. Petition is supported by MP Jenny Kwan, a NDP critic for immigration issues and policy. Not sure why this policy still exists in Canada, but it is time to change:

If they get 500 signatures, the petition will be presented to the House of Commons and they will have to address the issue.

Yes, the merely increased the threshold from ~7,000 CAD per year to ~19,000 per year. They are still discriminating people with disabilities.
