Dear CEC Forum Members,

I am planning a petition to be sent to the Minister of Immigration to voice our concerns about the very serious shortcomings related to the processing of applications including communications with applicants. I suggest we nut the issues to be presented out and collectively draft the petition. Most of you will be aware that you only learnt how to get info on your applications from this forum - i.e getting GCMS notes, etc. It appears that this has become the norm of getting info on one's file but CIC had never informed any one of you about this. Yet, we have heard horror stories where peoples' applications have been denied because they were expected to provide some info but were never requested, etc. All this is very serious - let's get our voices heard yaar.

Please feel free to suggest issues to be raised in the petition.

8000 applications processed in 12 months (I think it used to be many more, right?) - that is 154+ applications per week. Remember not all applications are from single people, there would be many more individuals whose health, background, education, travels, and many, many more items will need to be checked. Don't we think CIC staff are doing a good job. There are lots of other applications apart from CEC - keep that in mind.

I agree with him, i work in high pressure environment as well and i understand sometimes when we dont have all the information verified it is impossile to got ahead.

And let's look at the practicality - by the time you get the petition and the Minister can think about it CEC - Snail Mail Un-express will be history. My 2 cents worth.

I see that this your first post, you are no senior member, I highly doubt that anyone here will trust you with this, you have to be a senior member to gain trust and to raise such concerns,

Though wait time makes us impatient But i TRUST cic is doing there job well. unnecessary escalating will have negative impact for everyone looking for cool future in canada.

Also keep in kind that the Old CEC system is a paper based one, that in itself is time consuming to handle and move around.

You people put me off which also scared me.

What evidence is there to say processing time is getting worse?

This is a very poorly written petition that contains wrong information. It's completely incorrect to say: "all the prior immigration applications have been put on hold by CIC office". We have many individuals on this forum who submitted applications pre-January 2015 received PR this year. If "all the prior immigration applications have been put on hold by CIC office", how is it possible that anyone from prior years has received PR this year?

No one is going to pay attention to a petition that is based on such an obviously inaccurate statement.

If what you meant to say was that processing for old applications has slowed down - then you need to say that specifically. "On hold" means "not being processed".

Let's get going on this my friends.
