You realise that no amount of supporters will work for a online petition to the federal government right?


They have very clear rules about submitting petitions
They must be submitted in writing (specific format) with at least 25 signatures of VERIFIABLE Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Foreigners and residents on temporary status do not count.

Also, this has been posted more then once already. If it is posted more, I am just going to request the mods start deleting as it is a waste of space and you are also giving a lot of people false hope.

I agree, we see this quite often, it would be nice to see this particular topic and content not be permitted on the these forums. Way too much false hope with these petitions. This type of topic and content has no bearing or offer any real help to the members of this forum.

Yyyyeah. While it would be really great if this sort of thing were effective, it's not, at least not under these circumstances. The CIC has already been openly criticized a number of times (including on CBC, as I recall), and even widely-seen public decrying hasn't done anything to make them change their tune.
