Hi all International Students in Canada, please do NOT consider and do NOT sign any existing proposed petition relating to International Students. I am starting this thread to disclose my argument to all International Students as below:

Believe me, as per my experience, any proposed Petition would be a trap and impacted bad for International Students. I always read a Petition before signing it (even if I am stressed and confused still waiting to get an ITA with insufficient points) and it seems that the Petition is asking too much; The Canadian government will be fed up of us if the Petition reached his Office and would think we, International Students are greedy;

Further, the Petition appears to favour only people with Canadian Work Experience rather than Fresh Graduates from Canadian post-secondary institution because it seems to ask for change for only those with Work Permit, Canadian Work Experience and eligible under the Canadian Experience Class; the Petition is subjective and the person who group to put it in place seems to look only for their own advantage rather than considering all International Students in Canada as a whole;

The Petition is the worst thing and totally wrong for us, International Students. The reason is as follows:

This is because McCallum is proposing much better for International Students than the proposed Petition; He confirmed several times that additional points will be awarded for those Fresh Graduates from Canadian post-secondary institution with No Work Experience; it appears that he is lenient as compared to the Petition which has strict requirements appearing to prefer only those with Canadian Work Experience;

McCallum proposed Reform is better than the Petition but the issue is how much points will be awarded for Canadian Education? May be we can reach the government to ask for 600 points which will secure an Invitation to Apply rather than asking him to change his reform. In this way, the government might understand our issue;

For instance, in Québec, those who are awarded a degree, diploma, master, certificate or any like qualification from a post-secondary institution in Québec has an automatic route to PR and there are NO Work Experience requirement, Proof of Funds, etc... and they are in priority to be processed faster; may be McCallum might inspire from this rule as he was from Montréal himself;
