Bonjour, hi!

I'll be soon applying for inland spousal sponsorship. I've been wondering who is supposed to write the personal statement telling the story of the relationship and etc. I know that it's not mandatory but I think it's a good opportunity to make clear any issues or missing information.

We both should write a letter each? Just the principal applicant? Just the sponsor? Both together?

I hope this question and its answers could be useful for others.
Thanks in advance,
André

Its not mandatory you include personal statement telling the story of your relationship......if you choose to include both could write to support your application.

What i think may be more useful is;

Refer.....Spousal Sponsorship Checklist......PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP TO SPONSOR.....4.e

Other proof that your relationship is recognized by your friends and/or family (e.g. Letters from friends/family, social media information showing a public relationship, etc.).

Thank you for replying Wakki!
Actually, we thought joint the personal statement to the application in addition to other proofs like the letters of friends and family.

André

We used the box at the end of the relationship form where it asks something like “Is there anything additional you would like to add about your relationship?” And wrote our personal story. We found we didn’t have enough space as it’s quite complicated how we met and what we’ve done to be together, so we wrote “please see additional attached sheet” and just continued on a second page.

Hi ashpash22!

I noticed that box, and juste because of that short space I thought it would be better juste to reference the additional sheets, as recommended, to put all the information together, but it's just a question of personal organization, not big deal, I guess.

Thank you for reply
André
