I would like to sponsor my partner. I am a permanent residence for a year. I have already been here before as a visitor. About 6 years ago I had some issues at the border but finally on my 'trial' they let me spend 3 months here. In this year when I got my PR status I got know that there is a refusal in my record. How can I get any document about that case to figure out what is about me in the CIC's database? It would be importatnt to know for the sponsorhip.

if you currently have PR status, then any previous refusals are not relevant to your application to sponsor your spouse. PR status outweighs previous refusals of entry - you have been vetted by immigration and those issues are no longer valid. it is a non-issue for sponsoring your spouse.

Oh. It is sounds great. Then for this question: "Have you been ordered to leave Canada?" The answer is : No ???? And the IMM5669E document 4/e question: "been refused refugee status, or visitor or temporary resident? If yes give details..." : I am quite sure that the answer for this is Yes?! And I do not be able to explain the situation clearly because I do not really understand why I was refused ( if I was... I spent 2 days in the shelter than I had a hearing and at the amd they let me spent my holiday here. But the officer said to me when I got my PR, that I have refusal in my record"). So what do you recommend to me?
