Hi,

I'm completing the personal history section of the IMM5669 form for an inland spousal sponsorship.

I'm wondering if anyone has some advice on how to add information for my situation. I came to Canada as a visitor at the end of 2021. I kept my job in my home country, which has no offices in Canada, nor any employees in Canada, nor any Canadian clients, nor does it sell anything in Canadian markets, and I was paid into a bank account in my home country. I was on leave for this job for a time, but also answered some emails and did some routine bug fixes remotely. Per other threads on this forum, and IRCC's definition for work, this seemed within their rules of not being considered "work".

A month and a half after entering Canada, I flagpoled at the border to activate an IEC work permit, and a couple months later I resigned from this job.

How should I include this work in my Personal History? Should I include it as a single entry, with the office location (that I worked out of for 2+ years), and the dates as the day I started till the day I resigned? Or should I split it into two entries, one with my office location up until I traveled to Canada, and a second entry starting from when I entered Canada, with my status as a Visitor in the country?

My main concern is about listing a Job in my personal history with my status as Visitor in Canada. Though I'm fairly confident that this is totally fine given the circumstances, I want to do what I can to have my application processed smoothly.

Would suggest 2 entries one as in person and other as a remote worker. Assume your spouse reported your international income on their taxes if you were married or common law at the time.
