How much detail needs to be included in personal history?

Is it sufficient to cover 10 years (without any gaps), with study/work etc, or do they want detail as to what other things I engaged in part-time (alongside study and work) e.g.
- Various part-time jobs
- Various volunteering
- Various miscelaneous training courses
- Part-time study whilst working full time (did not finish course)

The form also states "list any organizations --- supported, been a member of or been associated with at any time."

I can't figure out how to enter this information. Won't there be an overlap on dates if I entered membership of various organisations? There isn't an option to select "full time" or "part time".

What level of detail are they looking for?

Basically they want to see what you have done in the last 10 years. It's normal if your activities overlap each other. You can give as many details as you want.

Regarding the organizations, they want to see if you supported any "bad" ones, however, you need to include organizations connected to your job or studies as well.
They want to see who you are. That's it

That's fair enough but what about miscellaneous part-time jobs, volunteering etc. I've done so many over the years, I can't recall dates.

As to organisations, say I've been a member of a progessional organisation on and off over the past 10 years, would I need to create separate entries for each period of membership?

If we are a member of any professional association, do we have to mention that? if yes then where?

In personal history post ITA.

I volunteer at girl guides... Guess I have to mention that too :p

Hey, thanks for your reply, but I was asking about just the member of an association say for example, engineering or accounting.

Is it okay if approximate dates are used for organisation membership, part-time jobs, volunteering etc?

Do they really need to know whether I worked in a sandwich shop for a month whilst studying 10 years ago? If I included every single activity I've engaged in, it will be a very long list indeed.

You need to give details of membership of professional organisations.

is there a section in personal history where we can input this?

I asked the same question, but no answer from experienced members yet.

I think one needs to select a suitable option from the drop down list and create an entry, even if this overlaps with dates of other activities.
