Hi guys here is my personal experience with PR cards.

I landed mid July this year and in the airport I gave the address of a friend for the PR card to be posted. I was told by the immigration officer thta I will receive the PR cards within four weeks. Six weeks later I got worried and called CIC office and selected change of address and talked to to an agent who made a security check by asking some questions like client ID and birth dates and he also took our home phone number. The officer told me that I will get the cards withing 30 days. However, I received the cards after exactly 6 days from that call. I felt that they were waiting to make sure that we are inside Canada!. I would advice people to give their home address if they have one!

Can you please tell me when did you get your pr card? I have landed in last week of July. It is more than 6 weeks but I haven't received my card yet.

The website says that it's 40 business days right now, so 8 weeks.

I've been waiting since the end of May. I started called asking what was going on in August, but the person from the CIC said it was processing and there were no delays. Today I called again and the guy finally told me there was an issue! When I landed the officer didn't put WHERE I'd landed, so they were missing the information. I don't know why they didn't send me a letter or anything asking. Anyway, he fixed it for me and told me I should get my PR card within 30 days, and if I don't I should definitely call back.

If you feel it's been too long I would definitely call them.

From inside Canada the number is 1-888-242‑2100
