Hello,

I became a permanent resident this week, but I am living in Canada since 2014.

My personal belongings are still in my home country. I don't plan to go back until next May. Does anyone know, how I have to deal with customs if I don't leave the country? Can I just get them send and declare them as a personal belongings when they arrive?

You need to prepare the B4 forms when you "land" and become PR. If you did not do so, your personal belongings might be subject to duties.

Oh, ok. I did ask at my landing interview, but they did not now anything about it. Well, I guess I have to pay some fees then.

Then you could have search, go to your nearest CBSA office and ask them.
