Previously I was in canada for 3 months and now I just came on 20th Feb 2021.SIN numbers don't expire. So I don't understand that question.

I called them up ..they said I need to have a residency proof or any other thing that have my name mentioned on it. Okay...and as now my PR card is expired and I have applied for renewal so in that case meanwhile all this process my SIN number remains the same right? I don't have to do anything for that ? If your SIN number was given to you as a PR, it remains unchanged forever. There are several threads about this as it's a question mark and a problem. To 'undormant' the card, you will probably need PR card. (Although you should try if you can).
Regardless, under law you are in Canada legally and you have the right to work, your SIN number is valid. (It seems the dormancy status is a measure against identity theft and particularly against use of number to access government support such as employment insurance, pension, etc).
So you can provide it to an employer. The government MIGHT contact the employer about the number - and then it's not clear what happens. Go ahead and use it with an employer. If it comes up, be confident you have done nothing wrong - or better that you'll have received pr card by then (and can go and unblock/remove the dormancy flag from account).
If not, we can't tell you what will happen. At that point you may need a lawyer or help from MP or something. It seems to be an unintended consequence of the clash between IRCC and CRA procedures.

Never heard of that being an issue. Don't recall though. Hi can you some help with this I raised the webform about my pr renewal card application got the reply on 12th feb 2022 that my application approved and sent for production any idea when should I expect my card in the mail thanks
