Hello everyone!
I submitted my PR renewal request last summer and today it was resent for missing something. I have now lost the chance of actually getting my PR card this summer for my supposed travel in South America. So this is my question for anyone who knows about applying for PRTD.
I have been accepted into a human rights program in Iquitos, Peru this summer for 50 days. Will those days be sufficient for me to obtain a PRTD in the Lima Office as soon as I land in Peru? Also, Are PRTDs country-specific? If I apply and obtain a PRTD in Lima, can I not go to, let's say, Brazil for 5 days and fly back to Canada from there? Or should I go back to Peru again and fly from there? These questions were not in the FAQs page of CIC and this is my last resort.
It sucks because I have confirmed with the volunteer organization and have paid some fees already. Also, will this case be reasonable for rushing an application? I will then submit my surely completed application again tomorrow (sigh).
Thank you for those who could provide any insight regarding my situation.
