Hi,

I need to apply for work permit extension (PR Application under PNP Category under process) , and found this question in their electronic system (online services); " I applied for permanent residence to an office in-Canada and was determined to be eligible for permanent resident status (first stage approval)? Don't know what should I say? YES or NO?

FYI: I applied for PR within Canada and got an email from CIC with my PR case file # and other important information, also done with Medical and recently submitted RFPRF...just confused which stage is first stage approval? Ami I beyond first stage?

Can anyone help me here please?

Thank you!

I believe so - when you get your file number which means first stage approval. Otherwise, your application will be returned if not eligible.

Please read this:

Summary; you are eligible. Thank you.

I learn that this option will only apply for family sponsorship type instead of any PNP program, which means for your case, I don't think you can choose yes.
