Permanent Resident Card Renewal

Hello Guys,
I applied for the renewal of my PR since the last week of July 2014.
And up till now I have not received any confirmation letter from CIC nor any update
on the ECAS. And I intend to travel with it by December 2014. I hope I will receive it renewed
before December 2014? How long does it renewal of PR takes?
Any useful information will be appreciated.

According to cic website ,now is 151 days & processing applications received upto 20th May 2014.

I applied renewal of my PR card on 16/06/2014, till no date there is no confirmation or Online update. Worried now whether they misplaced my application or still in Que?

appreciate, if someone can shed light how many days it takes to appear case status online?

Me and my family (3 adults 1 minor) sent application on June 9 (via regular mail and now regret it) and haven't heard anything from CIC yet. Does anybody know if there is a particular reason for the lag or has it been like this forever?

Who sends this stuff in regular mail?

Yes processing times are 5+ months now.
