Dear friends
I'm permanent resident of Canada since 2009 and I have just renewed my P.R card . last year I returned back to my country to resume my work in the foreign service's of my country . last week my headquarter decided to appointed me as a diplomat in my country's Embassy to Canada in Ottawa . my questions are as follow :
1- do I need to abandon my status as a permanent resident in order to have immunity and privileges entitled to diplomats by international conventions .
2- is there any way to maintain both status I mean permanent resident and diplomat in the same time .
3-what about my family members who have permanent resident status and live and study now in Canada .
looking forward to hear your comments on this situation
