You CAN TRY asking but the chances of expediting your PR is slim to none (I work in an immigration law firm and this is unheard of for us). Every other protected person waited to be processed, the wait is about 24 months after you submit your application. Patience is key. Good luck.

I applied Dec 2017, and it was approved on March 16th 2019. roughly it was 14 months. I was asked to get my Police certificate from Singapore police and Rap-sheet from FBI cause I stayed in those 2 countries previously. it was fast for me. I did not know why. but thank God.
